In the Event of an Emergency

The Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Massachusetts, Inc. (VNASM) has a detailed emergency plan that will be implemented in the event of a community or agency emergency. This plan is designed to evaluate every patient's needs and allow VNASM to respond to the most vulnerable patients first. Following an emergency, VNASM will make every effort to contact you as soon as possible.

In the event of disaster, REMAIN CALM. If you are safe in your home, REMAIN THERE. If you are in an emergency situation, CALL 911.

The Federal Government's Department of Homeland Security operates a website, http://www.ready.gov, providing comprehensive information about emergency planning. This site offers useful tips in the event of a disaster or terrorist threat.
