VNASM Now Provides Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service
The Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Massachusetts, Inc. and Philips Lifeline are partnering to provide an easy to use medical alert service to reduce the risk of adults and seniors who live alone and are at risk of falls. Lifeline is the number one medical alert service, helping more than 6 million adults and their families and is recommended by thousands of hospitals and professional caregivers across the country.
Lifeline services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to adults and seniors living in Southeastern Massachusetts and Southern Rhode Island communities. The service provides quick assistance whenever personal support is needed, especially in a medical emergency.
By simply pushing a lightweight, waterproof button that can either be worn around the neck or wrist, an individual is immediately connected to a highly trained monitor who has instant access to the caller's complete health history and will quickly link the individual to the care they need. Lifeline monitors undergo intensive training in gerontology, stress management and related topics on aging before they are certified to answer calls.
Lifeline can give greater peace of mind and a sense of confidence to help maintain independent living. There is no equipment to buy or long-term contract to sign. To learn more contact Julie Gazard in Community Affairs at 508-676-8251 extension 1955.
